The Sales Associate works under the general direction of the Retail Coordinator. The Sales Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the Girl Scout Shoppe. This includes assisting with inventory, promotions, sales, etc. It will also include assisting the Product Program Department when needed.

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday; Weekends as needed.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

• Assists with the daily operations of the Girl Scout Shoppe
• Promote new merchandise, sales and promotions, knowledgeable of all badge level information, as well as Girl Scout uniform level requirements
• Assists with shoppe inventory, as well as daily sales reports
• Ring sales, process returns and exchanges; reorganizes store layout based on seasons and promotions
• Assists with preparing merchandise for event stores
• Provides excellent customer service
• All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to meet department deadlines; timely and accurately
• Supports reception coverage as needed
• Provides support for summer camp in any capacity for any length of time
• Support other departments as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail customer service sales, as well as experience with inventory
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Office 365, One Drive, Microsoft, Excel, etc.
• Able to work flexible schedule, such as some evenings, weekends
• Capable of handling sensitive information confidentially
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organization/multitasking skills; manage deadlines.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation; ability to travel within Suffolk Count
